Do you need to get a dental crown for a tooth but are putting it off because you do not have the time to make several trips to the dentist’s office? If so, you will be very interested to learn about how you can get a new dental crown in just one office visit. At our dental practice, Dr. Harvey Katz DDS, we are proud to offer Gramercy Park crowns in a day.
With Gramercy Park crowns in a day, patients are able to come into our office and get a new porcelain crown in just one rather short office visit. Our two expert dentists who provide teeth restorations are Dr. Harvey Katz and Dr. Jason Katz. At our dental practice, patients are either able to get traditional porcelain crowns, or CEREC same day crowns. CEREC is an advanced dental technology that helps our dentist restore decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. CEREC technology can be used to create full crowns, inlays, onlays, and even veneers. At our office, we have a special CEREC machine that will actually craft the restoration in front of your eyes in a manner of minutes. Our CEREC restorations are made of compressed porcelain so that they are actually even stronger than laboratory restorations, which are layered porcelain.
Patients are very excited to learn that they can actually get CEREC crowns in one short office visit. You will not need to wear a temporary crown and then come back at a later visit after your new crown has returned from the lab. You will be able to leave our office in just about one hour with your beautiful new crown protecting your tooth. Our dentist will first need to remove all decay from the tooth that is going to be treated. The tooth will then be prepared for a digital picture. A digital camera will take the picture which will appear on a 3-D computer screen. As you watch, our dentist will actually design the new restoration. Once this design is completed, our CEREC machine will mill the restoration. This final step will only take about 15 minutes. You are even invited to watch this process take place. Once the restoration is completed, our dentist will install it in your mouth. In just a little more than one hour you will be leaving our office with your new crown.
